Tumblers part 2

Posted in Tumbler at 12:57 pm by jewelrybyleyla

Ok, so this is a little late. I had every intention of posting this update yesterday. But once my fever reached 101F, I was curled up in the fetal position waiting for it to end.

I opened up the tumbler yesterday, I went through the rough rocks to determine what might be ready for the next stage, and what needs more time. Overall they are looking pretty good. But as you can see by the first picture, there are quite a few square edges still on the India Tree agate (which stone with green “branches”), and a few still have pits or fractures that I’m waiting for them to disappear.

There still aren’t enough rocks ready from the first stage to move on to stage two. So all the rocks that weren’t done yet, went back into the tumbler, until some more are ready.

Not quite done yet Done with stage 1

As always, check back next Friday, or Saturday for part 3. Check out my Etsy store to see what has been made with the finished rocks from previous batches.

What fun you are having tumbling rocks! And what gorgeous things you have made with them!
